We have an opportunity for an experienced and committed practitioner to help develop our sexually harmful behaviour service delivery across Peterborough children’s services. The successful candidate would play an active part in the development of services in Peterborough for children/young people displaying sexually concerning or harmful behaviour. This would include providing advice, consultation and training to staff as well as completing assessments and delivering one to one work with young people and their families. Assessments and interventions are primarily completed using the AIM (Assessment Intervention and Management) Model. Relevant training would be provided to the successful candidate.

You would need to actively model a robust commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will be based primarily within Peterborough Youth Offending Services whilst working alongside key partner agencies within the Safeguarding Board community including schools, NSPCC, Health, Police and Children’s Social Care.

We are looking for a professional with experience of working with individuals presenting with harmful sexual behaviours as well as experience of managing risk, completing structured assessments and delivering interventions in a timely and responsive manner.

You will need a relevant professional qualification and registration in Health, Social Work or Probation as well as extensive post qualifying experience offering specialist interventions in a Social Care, Criminal Justice, Health setting or equivalent.
