Peterborough City Council are looking for a HR Officer to join their new Employee Relations team. This is a new role which will provide support across the Employee Relations team thus providing the successful candidate with a range of development opportunities. The role will provide advice on HR policies, procedures and a variety of terms and conditions, whilst managing absence cases from end to end. In addition, the role will lead on key work streams including the Council’s pre-recruitment authorisation process and analysis of HR metrics.

To be successful in this role you will:
• Have experience of working in a generalist HR role with experience of end to end case management for sickness absence
• Have experience of providing professional HR advice on a range of HR policies & procedures
• Be able to multitask and effectively prioritise competing deadlines across a number of service areas daily
• Have enthusiasm and strong team working skills
