We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably skilled and experienced individual to join Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council as a Group Manager for Provider Services.

Located within the Disability Social Care 0-25 Service, this role involves supervising three members of staff and overseeing the running, financial management, performance and Ofsted / CQC compliance of the following provider services:


• Cherry Lodge Residential Children’s Home – Peterborough.

• Woodland Lodge Residential Children’s Home – Cambridgeshire.

• London Road Residential Children’s Home – Cambridgeshire.

• Haviland Way Residential Children’s Home – Cambridgeshire.

• Community Support Services – Cambridgeshire.

• Peterborough Pathways - Peterborough.


The successful applicant will be highly motivated to deliver a high-quality service across these specialist provisions and will have experience of strategic leadership and change management. With significant knowledge and understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework for statutory Children and Adult provider services, together with an understanding of the framework within which local authorities operate, the successful applicant will have the personal and professional skills to support this diverse range of provisions.

This is a permanent post, covering 37 hours per week and with a base in Huntingdon (although flexible working will be an option.)

IMPORTANT: This role will require you to enter the premises of a CQC-registered care home as part of your employment. Regulations which come into force from 11th November will require employees over 18 who enter CQC-registered care homes in England to have completed a full course of authorised COVID-19 vaccine doses at least 2 weeks before 11th November, unless they have a medical exemption. As part of your pre-employment checks you will need to provide evidence of your vaccinations or medical exemption. Your employment will not commence until this evidence is received.
