Peterborough City Council’s Fostering Service are looking for either two full time Support Workers or up to four part time who will job share, to join the Fostering Team.
The support workers will be part of the Support and Supervision Function and be responsible for supporting children and young people that are being cared for by foster carers. This role will involve a range of activities, from transporting children to appointments, enabling foster carers to have a break from caring responsibilities, providing one to one support to children out of school and children who come into care as an emergency and a range of other activities.
The post offers the chance to establish close and meaningful relationships with foster carers, children and young people, to be creative and passionate about our service goals and aspirations.
The role contributes to high quality service delivery, further develop strong partnership and cross service working and innovate and build on the good practice that is already in place.
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individuals who are experienced in working with children, can demonstrate excellent communication skills, are highly organised and have good recording skills.
