Peterborough City Council’s Fostering Service are looking for a Fostering Supervising Social Worker to join the team. You will be part of the Support and Supervision Team, which will involve supporting approved Foster Carers to effectively care for children and young people, enabling them to achieve their individual potential. You will also be responsible for ensuring continuous professional development of Foster Carers through ongoing support, supervision, monitoring and review. There will also be placement duty responsibilities and participation in the Out of Hours Service.
The post offers the chance to establish close and meaningful relationships with foster carers, children and young people, to be creative and passionate about our service goals and aspirations. The role contributes to high quality service delivery, further develop strong partnerships and cross service working and innovate and build on the good practice that is already in place.
We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual who has a proven track record in providing high quality support to others, good safeguarding knowledge and high aspirations for children and young people. You will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised, have good IT skills and be reliable.
