This is a very exciting time to join our newly created fostering service, as we have modernised and aligned the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough fostering teams. You will be involved from the start in supporting the service to build on its strengths and become an outstanding fostering agency.

A commitment and passion for supporting foster families and the children in care that they are looking after is essential.

We have a vacancy for a fostering panel adviser in the newly formed Quality Assurance Service. Your role will be to advise, monitor and report on fostering practice; supporting the service to meet its statutory obligations.

If you are an excellent communicator, have in depth knowledge of fostering legislation and regulations, proven experience of interagency multi-disciplinary work and can motivate yourself and your team, then we would love to hear from you.

You will need to have a social work qualification and a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience (including 2 years recent experience of fostering social work) and 3 years as a senior social worker. The Quality Assurance Service is responsible for all fostering panel function as well as completing independent reviews of foster carers and providing the learning and development of foster families. Interviews will be held week commencing 11 January 2021 in person at Sand Martin House, Bittern Way, Fletton Quays, Peterborough. PE2 8TY.
