We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Officer to join our high performing Food and Safety team.
This is your opportunity as a qualified environmental health officer to play a key role in a range of regulatory and advisory activities to achieve compliance with food and health & safety legislation. Your skills in communication will aide you in achieving high quality customer-focused service delivery and positive public health outcomes, acting as a resource of experience, knowledge, and expertise in one or more specialist areas and where required. You will have experience of enforcing food safety and health and safety legislation. You will carry out interventions, investigate complaints and infectious diseases, deal with private water supplies and provide business advice.
The team has developed commercial services and has several Primary Authority arrangements in place with national businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with both existing Primary Authority partnerships and work with future clients.
This post is based in Peterborough and we have a Shared Service arrangement with Rutland County Council whereby you will also work closely with colleagues based in Oakham, Rutland. The diverse demographic and geographic nature of the areas covered by the service makes it an ideal ground for the professional development of any officer.
The role requires excellent communication and team working skills and a flexible solution focussed approach.
