A great opportunity has arisen in the Electoral Services Team, to provide support services, including delivering electoral registration, IER (Individual Electoral Registration) and elections for the Peterborough area.

Responsibilities within this post include:

• To provide support to deliver all aspects of IER project, through voter registration processes, engagement, promotion and monthly rolling registration, to include effective delivery of the process, statutory compliance, and the monitoring and recording of the sale of relevant electoral documents.
• To support delivery of all types of elections for Peterborough, in consultation with the Electoral Manager and Head of Constitutional Services.
• To demonstrate knowledge of the requirements, implementation and enforcement of statutory/regulatory provisions, applications for registration, absent and proxy vote applications and elections, to ensure public confidence in the democratic process.
• To record, monitor and publish all registers.
• To visit nursing homes and schools promoting the IER programme to ensure all eligible electors are registered and able to vote in elections in Peterborough.
• To participate and support the strategy of anti-fraud measures to ensure public confidence in the electoral processes.
• To participate and support in training and coaching of other members of the electoral services team and additional staff for canvass and elections.

This post holder must be available to work "out of the normal office hours" during busy times in the service area, and annual leave maybe restricted during these times.
