Peterborough Virtual School has a duty to promote the education of children in care and children previously in care.
We require an educational professional to work across Peterborough to specialise in the education of children who were previously in care.
You will be responsible for building relationships with key partners, including colleagues within Peterborough Virtual School, designated teachers, adoption agencies and social care. You will be required to devise and deliver training to early years settings, schools, parents and carers. You will offer advice and information on the educational needs of children previously in care. You will keep up to date with statutory guidance and use this to grow and develop the role.
This is a 2 year fixed term part time post.
Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
