The City Council's Older People's Day Service offers a safe and friendly environment for older people who might be finding it difficult to get out and about and need a bit of help and support to stay independent, well, and living in their own homes for as long as possible. The service now has a need to recruit a minibus driver/ care assistant to fulfil the important role of safely transporting clients to and from their homes to the day centre and other venues, and to also complete activities and some personal care, while communicating both written and verbal with families, clients, colleagues, management, GPs and social workers.
We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and sympathetic understanding of the support needs of elderly people. A 2-year clean minibus or equivalent driving licence is essential.
