About the Role

Cherry Lodge is a children’s home providing overnight short breaks to children and young people with complex disabilities and we are looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our busy team.

The successful applicant will help us to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the building while ensuring it is also homely and welcoming.

This is a 20 hour a week post and applicants will work to a rota that will include shifts during term-time, school holidays and weekends.

  • You are motivated and enthusiastic.
  • You have the ability to use cleaning, laundry and kitchen equipment appropriately. 
  • You have experience of food preparation, cleaning and caring for clothes.

Cherry Lodge is a local authority children’s home and offers short breaks and shared care placements to children and young people with severe disabilities between the ages of 5 and 19.

Cherry Lodge provides care and support for children and young people with severe and complex learning disabilities.  This includes physical disabilities, associated health needs and sensory impairment.
