We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, an in depth knowledge of Children’s safeguarding and experience of working in a relevant team/service to the role.
As Deputy Safeguarding Lead you will be accountable for an established team of Independent Chairs who chair meetings on behalf of Peterborough Safeguarding Children’s Board for those defined as in need, such as child protection conferences and child care reviews for looked after children. The Local Authority Designated Officer also sits within this service.
The Deputy Safeguarding Lead will support staff to work collaboratively and sensitively with service users and their families and ensure that staff members within the service discharge their duties to the highest standard.
