We are looking for a motivated and innovative manager with extensive investigatory experience and excellent people management skills to join our awarding winning service.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards as a result of shared service arrangements operates across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Rutland, and forms part of a larger Regulatory Service Group.

You will manage and provide leadership to the Consumer Protection Team within the Trading Standards Service, being accountable for their performance, leading on a range of regulatory activities, projects, cross service initiatives, and service developments.

The shared service arrangements provide the opportunity to manage staff handling the regulatory challenges posed by both city and rural communities.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are amongst the fastest growing areas in the country, resulting in significant investment in infrastructure, new developments, and digital technology. Peterborough Council has recently relocated to a new purpose built building, designed to meet the needs of a modern agile local authority.

With a shared Chief Executive, both Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council have ambitious plans for the future, and a track record for innovation.

As a Service Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards aims to consistently be at the forefront of service delivery, looking to shape our own future rather than it being shaped for us.

We have our own intelligence analyst and accredited financial investigator, and a reputation as one of the leading Primary Authority advice providers in the country, with the service currently supporting just under 100 national businesses.

The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced, highly effective and nationally acclaimed Service working across both Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The Service has offices in Cambourne and in Peterborough, and operates flexible working arrangements, where agile working is encouraged.
