Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council Joint Public Health Department are looking to recruit a Consultant in Public Health/Consultant in Public Health Medicine
Peterborough City Council is seeking to recruit a public health consultant with strong partnership working, influencing and technical skills, and a commitment to improving population health outcomes. They will join a joint public health team working across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough in an exciting and fast-moving environment for partnership work to improve and protect health and wellbeing. This includes a newly formed Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, and a co-terminous Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) footprint.
A key aspect of the role will be to provide strategic leadership and public health expertise for work on the wider determinants of health with local District/City Councils, influencing their policies and services. The role will also lead a system wide strategic approach to delivering the health protection and public health emergency planning responsibilities of both upper tier Councils, with a focus on system assurance, collaboration and communication.
