Further Information
Think Communities is at the heart of changing the way the public, private and voluntary sector work together with communities in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. By investing in
communities and supporting local delivery by those who know their residents best, we will
improve the outcomes for people who do not yet have local support networks, creating places where people can feel safe, healthy, connected and able to help themselves and each other.

As an ambassador of the Think Communities approach, you will work confidently in starting
conversations, bringing people together and empowering people to initiate activities to bring
about changes that people want to see and create community leaders of the future. This is an exciting opportunity to work with community groups and other key stakeholders, identify and upskill community leaders to promote integration and reduce inequalities.

The Community Connectors are responsible for identifying members of the community with
drive, enthusiasm and local knowledge. You will need good communication skills, experience of working with community groups, knowledge of cultural and regional variations with
Peterborough’s communities and a good level of English (spoken and written). You will also
need good IT skills with the ability to collect data, complete forms and write reports.

You must be able to travel around the city to engage with Peterborough’s many communities.

Interviews will be held on: 18th May 2021
