Further Information
Peterborough is one of five Integration Areas, along with four other local authorities - Walsall, Bradford, Waltham Forest, and Blackburn with Darwen. Peterborough City Council is working with Government and other local and national partners, to test a range of projects to help make Peterborough an inclusive, welcoming city where our communities are safe, cohesive and healthy.

We are looking to recruit another Community Connector to our team, to start conversations, bring people together, empower people to initiate activities to bring about changes that people want to see and create community leaders of the future. This is an exciting opportunity to work with community groups and other key stakeholders, identify and upskill community leaders to promote integration and reduce inequalities.

The Community Connectors are responsible for identifying members of the community with drive, enthusiasm and local knowledge. You will need good communication skills, experience of working with community groups, knowledge of cultural and regional variations with Peterborough’s communities and a good level of English (spoken and written). You will also need good IT skills with the ability to collect data, complete forms and write reports.

You must be able to travel around the city to engage with Peterborough’s many communities.
