"Knowing that the work I do contributes towards improving the lives of Peterborough residents is a real driver for me. Work isn’t just about coming into the office to do the 9 to 5, it’s about wanting to make a real difference. Further information

From developing campaigns supporting vulnerable children to features about improving our highways and providing first line media responses about a whole range of council service - no two days are ever the same working in our shared Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council communications team.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for two communications and content advisors - based in Cambridgeshire - to work in our dedicated team, explaining our services to residents and stakeholders and promoting our area as an excellent place to live, work or visit.

This position would suit someone keen to take the next step in their communications career - who has already mastered skills including social media, media relations, marketing, campaigns and events and can demonstrate success - but wants to move this to the next level.

You will support a wide portfolio of communications and marketing activity, working with council services on targeted communications using a variety of digital and traditional media channels. You will also be handling media enquiries on a rolling newsdesk rota.

If you think you have the right experience and qualifications for this role and are committed to helping transform a public sector organisation to meet the challenges of the future, we want to hear from you. For an informal discussion please contact Amanda Rose on 07572 463889 or Eleanor Bell on 01223 699281.

Date of interview: 10th-12th March 2020
