The Governor Development Team at Peterborough City Council are looking for organised and self-motivated individuals who are interested in flexible working opportunities to support school governors in schools across Peterborough.
The role of Clerk is to prepare for, attend and minute governors’ meetings, in addition to delivering a full administrative and advice service to Governing Bodies in schools.
The roles are well suited to individuals looking for flexible work as either a part time role or alongside other existing commitments. The Council will provide full training, including an induction programme and mentor as well as ongoing networking and development opportunities.
Successful applicants ideally bring experience of administration, organisation and being able to work autonomously, managing your own workload and deadlines.
Meetings are typically late afternoon and early evening, with the remainder of work undertaken from a home-base.
