37 hours per week, year around, on a shift system with an element of weekend shift cover required, as per the team rota. There is a shift allowance payment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer focused caretaker, to assist with general building maintenance support at the Brook Street Campus, and at the John Mansfield Campus on a rotating shift system, which includes early mornings and late evenings. There is also a requirement to support our other centres based across the City and any additional general duties in support of College events held off site.
You will be a ‘team player’ and have previous proven experience in a similar role and you will be able to complete a wide range of basic maintenance tasks, you will be required to undertake janitorial duties. You will be a designated key holder and be able to work unsupervised, therefore, good organisational and time management skills are paramount to this role. The caretaker supports a wide range of general duties including, plant/heating systems adjustments/monitoring, classroom set ups and general courier deliveries between centres, therefore a full, clean, UK driving licence is required to drive our transit van. This role is key to supporting our learners and staff, therefore a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and flexible approach to duties is an essential requirement of this role.
