Business Officer – Access to Resources Team - Cambridgeshire County Council

We are looking for candidates who have an excellent working knowledge of Windows & Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook) and the Internet, in addition to experience of using client databases.

You will need to be self-motivated and flexible in your approach to work, highly organised, efficient, with a keen eye for detail and have the ability to forward plan and prioritise your workload. The role involves liaising with colleagues and other professionals over the phone, email and face-to-face, so excellent communication skills are a must. You will need a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and an ability to interpret information and data, as well as experience of meeting management and minute taking.

You will need to be comfortable with working as part of a busy team and there may be times when you will work on your own initiative. An ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines is essential. You should have a methodical and concise approach to tasks and the ability to manage workloads effectively.

Duties include providing administrative support to the Access to Resources Service Lead, Children in Care Commissioners and the wider Access to Resources Team. You may also have to provide cover for the Children's Commissioning Team Business Support Officer. Appropriate training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The majority of the time you will be based in Babbage House in Cambridge but may be expected to work at our offices in Huntingdon.

Interviews will be held on Monday 29th July 2019

For informal enquiries please phone Pippa Hayward on 07741 830184 or email pippa.hayward@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
