We are looking to appoint a committed and motivated Support Assistant to join our established Autism Team, which is an integral part of the Peterborough SEN & Inclusion Service. We are a centrally based team who support children, young people, schools and families within Peterborough.

The role will suit an energetic and dedicated practitioner who is looking to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with Autism, as well as furthering their own professional development.

We welcome applications from qualified and experienced support personnel, such as teaching assistants; family support workers; inclusion & intervention workers; pastoral staff with Early Years, Primary or Secondary school experience, as well as those who have experience of working with Child /Young Person (CYP) with an Autism in other fields.

The ideal candidate will
• have a passion to help CYP achieve their potential.
• be adaptable and have the ability to build relationships with CYP.
• have qualifications, training and /or have experience of working with CYP with an Autism
• be able to effectively liaise with other professionals and can form positive and professional relationships with CYP, parents/carers and schools.
• be a flexible and adaptable team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• have a friendly manner with a good sense of humour.
• have a passion for Autism Education and the Inclusion Agenda.
• hold a full driving license and have access to a car.
