Further Information
Legal Services require an assistant planning lawyer to join the Growth and Regeneration team. Experience of planning and highways an advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own caseload of legal cases as well as assisting the lawyers in the team in more complex matters. Must either have or be working towards a legal qualification.

Peterborough City Council Legal Services is a forward thinking legal team also providing advice to Rutland and Fenland councils and the Peterborough and Cambridgeshire combined authority. We are looking for a number of individuals to grow our property and planning teams. Experience in local government is not essential for the right candidate.
Currently based in the town centre, we will soon relocate to a new and purpose built office with outstanding views across the river Nene, just a short walk from the town centre. As an agile workforce there are opportunities to locate with colleagues and clients as well as working from home.
Peterborough is a great place to live and work. The Council is ambitious and constantly innovating to support economic growth, focussed on investment, connectivity and opportunity. Property is attractive and affordable with an excellent house-price-to-earnings ratio. The city was voted as one of the top ten cities to raise a family and has beautiful landscapes, country parks and a unique heritage. Located close to Cambridge, Huntingdon and Lincoln, we are also just a short 46 minute train ride from London with excellent road transport links as well.
