An opportunity has arisen to appoint an Assistant Crematorium Technician – Grounds at Peterborough Crematorium which is owned and managed by Peterborough City Council
We are looking for a person to be part of a small team providing the highest level of customer service to bereaved families, visitors and stakeholders alike.
The main duties and responsibilities of the post include carrying out horticulture duties in the crematorium grounds, assisting with the erection and maintenance of memorials and providing cover to operate cremation ancillary equipment for holidays and sickness.
The successful candidate will need to be highly flexible with an organised approach to the role in hand. They will need to be a good team player and have experience of amenity horticulture procedures and practices and the ability to safely operate a wide range of horticulture machinery. Good general DIY skills, an understanding of good customer care and the ability to work with minimal supervision is also a requirement.
