We are looking for motivated and forward thinking manager to join us in Peterborough to drive the progress we have made in Children’s Services over recent years and to deliver innovative services to our children, young people and their families that makes a difference to them.

The core functions are to receive all referrals to Children's Social Care on a rota and to establish whether or not a Single Assessment (s17 or s47) is required. The team will gather and share information and liaise with referrers and partner agencies and provide feedback where no assessment is offered and provide a response that might include:
the provision of information, advice and guidance; onward referral; or re-direction
? Organising, and conducting s47 Strategy discussions and ensuring that partners are fully engaged and that the record of these is circulated in a timely manner.

? Ensuring consistency and quality in the application of thresholds to decision making within the referral and assessments undertaken
? Ensure that decisions are made within timescales and that workflow if effective
? Provide oversight of Private Law proceedings (s7 & s37) which are undertaken by the Assessment Teams
? Ensuring CIN Plans are SMART and meet the expected outcomes from the Single Assessment
