The School Governance Team working across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are looking for a temporary Area Lead Governance Advisor to cover maternity leave, starting in August 2022. 0.8 FTE ideally to be worked over 4 days.

The role of Area Lead Governance Advisor is a varied and fast-paced role working with schools across Peterborough and Fenland to support the best possible standards of school governance and compliance. The role also has a key interface with broader School Improvement services within both Local Authorities.

As well as varied school engagement, the role also includes;

- Line management of the Clerking Service in Peterborough

- Leading governor briefings and training sessions

- Being the first interface within and outside the Local Authority for School Governance related queries

- Deputising for the Strategic Lead for Governance, as required.

Whilst the role has an allocated office base at Sand Martin House, working from home and
across schools and areas within Peterborough and Fenland would be an expectation of this role.

A Full UK Driving License and flexibility towards your work is therefore an essential requirement to succeed in this position.
