We are looking for someone to work in the Information Governance team, dealing with a wide variety of requests about the council and the decisions it makes. Having excellent communication and organisational skills is absolutely essential as is a knowledge of Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation.
The amount of FOI and data protection rights requests the team deal with has grown in volume. These requests cover many different thought provoking topics, some of which can be contentious in nature but our responses help explain what the council does and why.
The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a team but also be able to work independently when required and manage their time effectively. This is a 25 hour per week role which will be worked as 5 hours per day.
You will help deliver specialist advice to all areas of the Council and to our customers while ensuring the council’s compliance with relevant legislation, policy and procedures.
