This post is open to permanent/temporary employees of Peterborough City Council only.

This is a temporary, 12 month, fixed term contract.

As part of the ongoing business transformation objectives the Council continues to implement a series of major change programmes. The successful delivery of the programme work streams underpins the future and shape of service delivery and it is, therefore, vital that each project is resourced appropriately.

As a result, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and focused individual with an understanding of the concepts, processes, tools and techniques of business process re-engineering to join the business transformation team and provide business change and process re-engineering support across various work streams.

This demanding role requires candidates with considerable interest in developing their skills and ability to support transformational change through business process improvement. Candidates must have a good understanding of the critical influence that business processes have upon efficiency within an organisation and have an appetite to challenge, identify and implement improvements. A proven ability to influence and gain the support of stakeholders is also essential, as is the need to work well as part of a team with the minimum of supervision.
