The Role
Looking for a permanent, full time Senior Social Worker.
This opportunity is open to experienced social workers, looking to widen their experience, as well as aspiring team managers interested in a development opportunity within an established team.
You will be part of an established team of Senior Social Workers, across our Adult Social Care service.
Experience of working with adults is essential along with a good understanding of The Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Continuing Health Care process, and be able to professionally utilise a strengths-based approach and be able to make risk assessed decisions to promote the safety of others.
About you
A Senior Social Worker in the service should be strong and supportive and provide excellent quality support, guidance, and leadership. With the guidance of their Team Manager The role is varied on a day-to-day basis and allows for a prominent level of multi-agency working, creativity and autonomy.
The Team
The service is a generic social work team which incorporates our health professionals, LD nurses and LD SLT. The team works with individuals and their carers over 18 living with a physical disability, learning disability, Autism and older people. The service is busy, lively and interesting and would ideally suit a Senior Social Worker who is proactive and adaptable in leading a team, and who has a passion for ensuring that the adults receiving care and support in our area receive a positive experience when having their needs met.
