Peterborough City Council Children’s Services is looking for a committed and outgoing individual to appoint to the newly developed role of Policies and Procedures Lead. This role has been newly created to write, implement, monitor, update and disseminate policies, procedures, protocols and best practice to practitioners and partners.
Responsible for developing a strategy and comprehensive training plan, you will lead policy focus groups and work with colleagues from across the service to ensure that policies are regularly updated and meet the needs of service users in Peterborough.
As the Policies and Procedures Lead, you will be responsible for undertaking research to ensure that our policies are up to date with current best practice and updated legislation and providing training, resources and guidance to staff and partners.
What will you be doing?
- Leading on the development or refresh of policies and procedures to support the implementation of change programmes and work with teams across children’s services to ensure that the policies and procedures meet service requirement
- Design and deliver training, workshops, presentations and resources to socialise and embed new and updated policies.
- Manage Tri-x updates and the documents library, tracking policy review dates and working with Tri-x to ensure the portal is up to date.
Who are we looking for?
- You should be able to draft policies and procedures to a high standard and communicate accurately in writing and verbally with all relevant audiences.
- You have highly developed influencing skills and are able to engage with a variety of audiences to deliver training, sharing complex issues in an accessible and understandable way.
- You are highly experienced in writing and delivering training in a range of settings and styles and are able to inspire and motivate colleagues, developing innovative was of working with staff and partners.
