Peterborough Adult Social Care currently has a great opportunity for a Full Time Care Support Worker to join them within the Review Team. In Peterborough we work in a person-centred way to improve the lives of our service users.
The Review Teams focus is ensuring that the people we work with, receive a timely review of Care and Support in accordance with the legislative and procedural framework of Peterborough City Council. As a Care Support Worker you will be well supported to manage a case load, working collaboratively with all service users, carers and other professionals to ensure that eligible needs are met and individuals choice and independence are respected. As a team we aim to promote choice and independence, supporting adults to be involved in and take control over decisions affecting their lives.
Through telephone calls, emails, and home visits where appropriate, a strength-based approach is used to understand and appreciate an individual’s interests, aspirations, concerns and goals. Existing networks of family, friends and wider community support are explored. A plan is developed using a strength-based approach and focusing on what the individual can do for themselves, the provision of information and advice, equipment.
We are a friendly team made up of a Team Manager, Senior Social Worker, Social Worker, and Care Support Workers from a variety of backgrounds. We support professional development and promote a learning culture within the team.
