Further Information
The Peterborough MASH (Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub) is a collaborative partnership between our statutory partners and co-located agencies which supports highly effective joint working and decision making for our children and families in Peterborough.

Our MASH operates out of the police headquarters, also known as “The Hex”, which facilitates a positive working environment and many opportunities in a collaborative space. As such, this role requires level 3 Police Vetting.

We are constructing solid foundations on which good practice can flourish. This includes:

· setting out a refreshed practice model with innovative ways of working with children and
· a restorative culture that enables professional learning and development,
· developing our workforce with a new dynamic leadership team in place and an evolving
workforce strategy.

We believe that the best practice is ‘family shared practice’, where many decisions about a child or young person are taken with them, their families and carers.

We look forward to welcoming your application.

Social Worker

· A qualified and registered social worker who works well in a fast pace environment and makes good safeguarding decisions for our children.
· You have demonstrable skills in analysis, especially family histories and you understand how to apply our thresholds consistently when making important decisions about children.
· Your approach to working in the team, with partners and with children is informed by our organisational values.
· You thrive in a learning environment and you are keen to make regular contributions to team learning.
· You are supportive of your colleagues and work well within a partnership collaborative environment.

This is a rolling campaign, and we will review applications daily so please don't wait for the closing date to apply. Candidates will be progressed shortly after they apply, and the opportunity will be filled as soon as we identify a suitable candidate, which may be before the closing date. So please don't hesitate, apply today.

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Peterborough and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation and the communities we serve.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role also requires level 3 police vetting as the successful candidate will be working from Police HQ.
