Further Information
At Peterborough City Council we have big ambitions for Peterborough.

As our new Corporate Performance Lead you’ll help us to achieve them by managing and developing reporting of Key Performance data, so that we can understand our improvement as a Council and our progress as a city.

You will be part of our new Performance and Intelligence service, working with others across the team to develop engaging and interactive reporting products for colleagues and Councillors. You’ll also oversee the development of new reporting for the council’s Resources directorate.

What will you be doing?
You’ll be managing our Key Performance reporting cycle and activity, ensuring that all of our data is collected, managed, analysed and presented to Service Managers, Directors and Members in appropriate and accessible formats.
We will develop interactive dashboards for Key Performance data, and you’ll lead on specifying and building these.
You’ll also lead on overseeing the management and development of reporting for our Resources directorate, including working with Service Managers to identify and address reporting requirements.

About you
You'll have a proven track record of working with performance data in a large, complex organisation, supporting non-technical managers to understand and work with the analysis and intelligence that you produce.
The Council is a political, public sector environment, so you’ll need the political awareness and sensitivity to work successful with a range of service managers and to present information that can be used for effective decision-making.
We’re looking to make better use of data visualisations and interactive dashboards for our performance reporting, so skills and experience of MS PowerBI would be a distinct advantage. You’ll certainly have experience of working with large datasets and using them to prepare and present clear, accessible reports.
You’ll also be responsible for the direct line management of one member of staff, so some line management experience will be an advantage.

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Peterborough and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation and the communities we serve.
