We're seeking a full time Practice Standards and Quality Auditor to join the Practice Standards and Quality Team.

The team have a key role in advising and supporting the Adults Principal Social Worker and Senior Management on social care practice across all of adults’ social care services, including celebrating good practice examples, exploring areas of development and using feedback from the teams on the front line.

The senior managers are very supportive of the team and the work we undertake.

The team’s work is evidence based using information obtained through audits, case reviews and working with front line social care teams. Aspects of the team’s activities include running social care practice workshops across PCC, developing practice factsheets, staff guidance and newsletters, working with other areas of the council to provide a joined-up approach to social care, supporting the facilitation of huddles and working with others to develop best social care practice in PCC Adults social care. The team is small but effective with a strong emphasis on social care values and good social care practice standards.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join us at this exciting time in social care.

As part of the team you will need to be able to plan and undertake social care practice related audit activities across all adult social care services in PCC, as directed and within agreed timescales. You will be required to analyse and present your findings in a written report to the Team Manager and colleagues. You will need to have an in-depth working knowledge of adult social care practice, an attention to detail and the ability to identify risk and escalate to the Team Manager, as appropriate.
