The City Councils older peoples day service offers a safe and friendly environment for older people who might be finding it difficult to get out and about, and need a bit of help and support to stay independent, keep well, and living in their own homes for as long as possible. The service now has a need to recruit a mini bus driver/ care assistant to fulfil the important role of safely transporting client to and from their homes to the day centre and other venues, and to also complete activities and some personal care, communicating both written and verbal with families, clients, colleagues, management, GP’S and social workers.

We are looking for someone with a positive outlook and sympathetic understanding of the support needs of elderly people, 2 year clean mini bus or equivalent driving licence is essential, caring experience is essential.
