Constant innovation and implementation of new ideas will be essential to your success in recruiting to a multitude of different roles across the authority.

You will have strong organisational and administrative skills and be a confident communicator.

Prior experience in recruitment and/or local government would be useful, but is by no means essential. An inquisitive nature, positive ‘can do’ attitude and being solution focused are much more valuable to this role.

You will work with a range of services, principally social care, tackling some of the most crucial roles that support our community.

Daily tasks will include:
- Liaising with service managers to arrange for vacancies to be advertised
- Providing advice on advert wording and advertising routes
- Arranging interviews with applicants and answering any questions
- Collating documents for successful candidates
- Creating social media posts

You will join a small and friendly team who are are changing the way recruitment happens in the Council through adopting new ways of working. This is a real opportunity to share your ideas and to make a difference.

With a generous annual leave allowance, a great pension scheme, agile working and a supportive team you will have the opportunity to be part of the change.

The role is offered on a part time permanent basis (18.5 hours per week), working over 5 days per week - start/finish times are flexible. This role will be mostly home working, but your formal work base will be at the purpose built Sand Martin House in Peterborough City centre. We offer flexible working arrangements, but some travel across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire may be required.

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Peterborough and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation and the communities we serve.
