We are looking for a full time Senior Practitioner to join our Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Teams.

You will be part of a busy, vibrant and developing Fostering Service. No two days are the same; you will be supported by experienced permanent managers and knowledgeable staff to drive forward our vision together.

We are looking for a qualified and registered social worker who has a special ability to form warm and nurturing relationships with Foster Carer Applicants and Special Guardian applicants quickly, to enable you to assess their suitability to care for our most vulnerable children.

You will have strong analytical skills which will inform robust assessments and plans for court and panel.

There is a requirement to participate in the Foster Carer’s Support Line which is in place out of office hours to provide essential guidance and advice to the Fostering Community in Peterborough. This is currently approximately once every ten weeks but the rota is under review.
