We have a great opportunity based at City College Peterborough for a Multi-Skilled English and Maths Tutor to become a key member of our Study Skills department.
Due to a growth in teaching hours, we are seeking a confident and motivated tutor that can help and support learners with English and Maths. Alongside this role offer 1 to 1 tutorial support and be a support Mentor to our young people.

You will work with lecturers to raise the learning and attainment of young people while promoting their social inclusion, self-esteem, and independence. You will get the opportunity to support students in all vocational areas of the college and ensure all students are provided with the most appropriate level of support to assist them to access the curriculum, participate in learning and fulfil their potential.
You will need to be able to use your own initiative while out in support of learners, dealing with situations with tact and empathy. The need to be flexible in your approach is imperative. You will need to be qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths and ideally have experience of working with people with SEND.
At City College Peterborough we have a whole organisation approach to the English and Maths provision based upon our commitment to improve the skills of learners by supporting them to achieve GCSE and Functional Skills qualifications.
We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, flexible, and qualified to deliver English to learners with varying levels of ability. Applications from candidates also able to teach and assess GCSE Skills English and Maths would also be welcomed.
This opportunity would suit either experienced lecturers or graduates with a willingness to undertake the appropriate development.

The successful candidate will need to be qualified in English and Maths.
