Further Information
As a result of major developments coming forward in the city, we are looking to enhance our current team with additional fixed term contracts. In these roles, we’re able to offer more flexibility to the right individuals who want to work on a part-time basis. The work would also be flexible depending on the candidates. For example, you may be expected to check and sign off applications and mentor more junior members of staff together; or you may be dealing with a small caseload of major applications or a combination of the two. We are looking for experienced individuals who are seeking a different work-life balance. The planning team is recognised within the Council as being vital to the continued growth of the city and you will play a part in that.

Peterborough is a unique combination of a New Town with a historic medieval core. It is currently experiencing considerable investment in the city centre, including a new university, and experiencing the growth of new urban extensions on the edge of the city. The enviable parkway and cycleway networks mean you can get around Peterborough in next to no time. Located on the A1 and the East Coast Main Line, we are in a highly accessible location that makes us an attractive location for new business and homes. We have been wearing our green credentials proudly for some years and are developing new environmental projects for the future.

Our friendly team are based in smart new offices at Fletton Quays or working from home. A high level of remote working can be accommodated. A highly competitive salary is on offer to the right person.

Positions available:
