The Alternative Education Provision and Inclusion Service within Peterborough is seeking to recruit 2 enthusiastic Early Intervention Family Workers to:

• Provide individual and group interventions with parents, carers, children, and young people with emerging needs to improve outcomes for children and families

• To work in close partnership with schools and parents across the authority to strengthen parental capacity and family relationships and to increase parental engagement in their local community and in their children’s education.

The successful candidates will join an established team, offering a range of interventions including parenting workshops, tasters and activity sessions to parents, carers and children. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a sound working knowledge of IT and experience of working with families. You will need to have access to your own car and will be required to travel on a regular basis.
