Peterborough City Council are looking for a dynamic and meticulous individual to lead a team responsible for maintaining and developing Peterborough’s highway network including overseeing and co-ordinating delivery of the Council’s:
• annual programme of maintenance works comprising of cyclic, planned and reactive maintenance along with responsibility for emergency and winter operations.
• delivery of specified elements of the Transport Programme of Works including the Integrated Transport Programme, Maintenance Programme and Street Lighting.
• Project management and co-ordination of multiple multi-million pound ‘major’ highway improvement schemes.
The post holder will ensure that all schemes and services are delivered in line with statutory, funding and governance requirements with a view to continuous improvement, whilst sustaining a positive relationship with stakeholders and the Council’s principal contractor.
