We have a great opportunity based at City College Peterborough for a sessional part time functional skills ICT tutor to become a key member of our Adult Skills department.
As a tutor in ICT, you will design lessons to support learners, from varying ages and abilities, to succeed with their ICT studies. You will stimulate your learners through functional and relevant learning to inspire them and support them to feel confident in their abilities. You will be an experienced, self-motivated, and confident tutor with the ability to adapt to suit your audience.
As part of your role as ICT tutor, you will contribute to the continued development of the department, you will need to support the administrator with initially assessing the learners prior to placement and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the position. The successful candidate will need to be qualified in ICT to A level standard. The College firmly believes that our employees are the heart of the organisation and having the right people in the right place is the key to our success.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
To start September 2021 for approximately 12 hours per week however can increase depending on availability of candidate.
The successful candidate will be required to:
• Establish effective working relationships with learners of all ages and abilities
• Monitor, support and record learner progress
• Provide innovative and stimulating lessons
• Work as part of a team to achieve timely results
This position is primarily working with 19+ learners.
