Peterborough City Councils Highway Development team are looking for a motivated and hardworking person to fulfil this important role in one of the fastest growing cities in the UK. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring that the growth of the city through developer led projects it delivered to the Councils high standards and be involved in many large scale projects that are currently underway throughout the city.
Main duties will include; inspection of development related highway works under Section 184/38/278 of the Highways Act 1980, advising developers, consideration and approval of temporary traffic management, pro-actively progressing adoptions of development related highway works, and where time permits undertake detailed technical assessment of development related highway works under Section 38/278 of the Highways Act 1980.
You must have the ability to analyse issues on site, identify options and choose the solution, be computer literate with the ability to adapt to various software packages, have demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure, use own initiative and most importantly be able to work well within a team.
