MASH provides a safeguarding triage function and as an MASH Social Worker you will
be responsible for triaging concerns based on the level of risk as well as holding your
own s42 enquires.

You will need to provide a response which is preventative by signposting to relevant
organisations or conduct (or instruct others to conduct) enquiries under section 42 of
the Care Act.

MASH works closely with its partner agencies in the spirit of the Care Act to share
information with the aim of providing the highest quality of response to adults at risk.
MASH is committed to making safeguarding personal and this involves engaging with
the adult at risk, or their advocate to agree a way forward which follows the six key
principles of s42 enquires under the Care Act.

The team is co-located with the police at Chord Park, Godmanchester and you will be
expected to undertake advanced vetting for this position.

The person we are looking for will:
• Be a registered social worker and have completed their AYSE
• Have a willingness to develop an in-depth knowledge of the Care Act and be able
to apply it in practice.
