We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in
supporting rough sleepers as well as those who are homeless and at
risk of homelessness to join our busy front line Housing Needs service.

To provide support with the management and oversee the provision of
an efficient and effective housing team. To ensure the customer Housing
Needs journey provides effective advice, assistance to all at the appropriate
level and that the right time.

To support staff to maximise opportunities for both preventing and relieving
homelessness.

To support the management and develop the area of the Housing Needs
Team under your responsibility to ensure that the council provides an effective,
professional housing needs service to the residents of Peterborough.

To line manage and support staff to maximise opportunities to both prevent
and relieve homelessness.

Ideally you will have a detailed knowledge of social housing, homelessness
and private rented sector accommodation. You will also have an understanding
of rough sleeping including challenges as well as current initiatives in place
in the city.
Excellent customer service skills, organisational skills and experience of motivating
a team to achieve successful outcomes.

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced
Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council
