We are looking to appoint a committed and highly-motivated qualified teacher of the deaf, with at least 5 years qualified teacher of the deaf experience, to join our Specialist Teaching Service Service, which is an integral part of the Peterborough SEN & Inclusion Service. We are a centrally based team who support children and young people , schools and families within Peterborough. The successful candidate will be supporting a service across the 0-25 age range.
The Specialist Teaching Services includes Hearing Impairment, Vision Impairment, Physical Disability and Area SENCo staff. It is part of the SEN and Inclusion Service with multi-professional partnership working with other SENI colleagues in the Education Psychology Service, Autism Outreach Service, Portage, Statutory Assessment and Monitoring Service and Partner Partnership Service. The links and professional working with external stakeholders including Health and Social Care is good.
Peterborough City Council is a small unitary authority. The Service is based in a central Peterborough location with technology resources to support agile working.
